This behavior can occur if any of the following conditions exists:
·The modem is turned off or malfunctioning
·The modem is unsupported, or the chosen emulation may be incorrect.
·The modem .inf files become corrupted or the modem driver becomes corrupted.
Method I: Soft reset your Samsung Phone
1.Do a *22899 dial that on your phone and press send. Let it finish.
2.Then do a *228, option 2, and soft reset your phone, see if that helps.
Many people have reported that has helped.
If this did not help you, then follow the method II to delete the modem from the Phones and modem in the Control Panel and re-install the modem driver.
Method II: To delete the modem from the Phones and modem in the Control Panel and re-install the modem driver.
Step 1: To delete the modem from the Phones and modem in the Control Panel
a.Click on Start and then click on Control Panel.
b.Click on Phone and Modem.
c.Switch to modems tab and select your modem.
d.Click on Remove.
e.Close all the windows and restart your computer.
Note: Once you restart the computer with the Samsung modem plugged in, windows will try to install driver for that. If it doesn’t find any driver, then install the modem driver that came with your phone.
