anytime my computer goes into a lengthly hibernation mode, my internet connection is lost and the only way I can recover it is to restart my computer.

When will Microsoft develope a patch to fix the proplem with Windows 7, that you lose your internet connection after any lengthly period of hibernation

My Windows 7 Professional computer has worked perfectly for over a year. Suddenly starting about a week ago, anytime my computer goes into a lengthly hibernation mode, my internet connection is lost and the only way I can recover it is to restart my computer..

I see from looking at various search engines, that I am not alone with this problem ans am wondering why Microsoft doesn't come up with a "patch" to fix the problem.

Answer

Hi,
1)Try updating the netowrk driver and check if that helps.
2) If this does not fix the issue I would suggest you to uninstall the drivers from the device manager, please follow the steps below:

(note: when network driver is removed or uninstalled you will not be able to access the Internet, Please download the necessary driver from the manufacturer website before you uninstall the driver)

Click on start > type in devmgmt.msc in search box, hit enter> right click on the Network adapter and  from the list of devices click on uninstall. And restart the computer.
Once you restart the computer, you can download the latest drivers from the manufacturer’s website install the same on the computer.

Hope this helps.
Regards
