Error 734: The PP Link terminated....

I am trying to connect to the net with my cellphone via USB with DUN in Win 7. I have used 3 different phones Sony Ericsson, Samsung, HTC and used 3 different SIM cards from different operators on each of these phones. Ihave followed each of the operators config instructions to the T.

But with all of them I keep getting the same error 734: PPP Link terminated.

Going through the forums, this seems to be a widespread problem with many users and although the MS tech KB has resolution for this error for XP, W23k etc, there seems to be n resolution for it in win7 so far. Most questions for win7 seem to have reached a dead end with every MVP support.

Obviously it is something to do with WIN7 - a bug maybe?

Pl MS can we have you look seriosuly into this issue and resolve it ASAP?

Hi Shinit,

I would suggest you to try the following steps:

Step 1: Disable the security software and then test, follow the steps mentioned below

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Disable-antivirus-software

Important: Enable the security software back once everything is done.

Step 2: Follow the steps mentioned by Keith Taylor dated Sunday, October 25, 2009 7:56 PM in the link below
