Trying to share a printer wirelessly with Windows xp and Windows 7

Basic setup:

Wireless router with ethernet connection to Windows xp (desktop) and wireless connect to Windows 7 (laptop). 

The printer is physically connected to the desktop.  How do I share the printer with the windows 7 laptop?

Hi Tokel,

 

Firstly share the printer on your Windows XP computer. Access the link below and follow the steps to share the printer in Windows XP computer. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/networking/maintain/printers.mspx

 

Check if you can access the Windows XP computer from the Windows 7 laptop and access shared files and folders.

 

Later on the Windows 7 computer install the printer as a Network printer and check if it helps.
