Windows 7 will not set up my HP Photosmart 8250 printer

Windows 7 will not set up my HP Photosmart 8250 printer? Any help. Tried the cable thing suggestion and prints but when pull USB cable out and replug on print server printer states it is off line; how do I get it online?   My HP Photosmart C410 printer works fine.

HP states no drivers for HP 8250 with Windows 7, as Windows 7 can detect and install it....but not working

1. Have you made any changes on the computer prior to the issue?
2. What Is the exact and complete error message that you receive on the computer?

Method 1:
You may run a Printer troubleshooter and check:

Method 2:
You may perform the steps provided to change the printer status to online
a. Click Start, go to Control Panel and select Hardware and Sound.

b. Click Printer.

c. If the Printer is offline, it shows “Offline” status. If the Printer is online it shows “Ready”.

d. If the Printer is offline, set it to online.

e. Right-click on the printer and select “Use Printer Online”.

f. The display should change to ready when the printer is set to online.

Also change the default printer by following the steps in “Change your default printer”
