Windows 7 / Print Spooler Error 1053

Many times my printer just stops working. Up until yesterday I was able to restart the print spooler close the computer and the printer would restart. Yesterday, the printer vanished. I had to install the printer again, but I was never able to Add a Printer, because of the Print Spooler. I keep getting the Print Spooler 1053 Error.

Can anyone explain this issue and help correct it?
