windows 7 error 2114 with vzmanager

I have tried a couple different wireless phone network adapters and cannot get them to work with Windows 7. I currently have vzmanager installed and have the pantech 290 usb adapter. I get error 2114 when trying to connect to the verizon network. Verizon couldn't figure out what it was.

Hi,

What changes were made to the computer recently?

Try these steps and let me know the status.

Step 1.

Uninstall VZAccess completely and all iterations of it.

Install the latest VZAccess for the card from http://www.vzam.net.

It should work now, if it prompts you to do a firmware update, do it and then reboot when prompted.

When all is set reboot the computer and check for the issue.

Step 2.

Do a SIM card reset as it will FORCE redo all the settings fresh from the VZW network.
Shut-off the computer. Take the USB modem out. Remove SIM card physically. Wait 10 seconds. Put the SIM card back in. Insert the modem back into the computer. Boot the computer.

Hope this helps.
