Windows 7 and Akai APC40 Plug and Play no drivers found?

I just bought an Akai APC40 for Ableton Live 8 and everytime I plug in my apc it brings up installing device driver then NO DRIVER FOUND... I thought Windows 7 made controllers like this plug and play compliant? There are no drivers on the website to be found to download?

This is on my Asus Notebook FS3c and I did upgrade from Vista! I have reformatted and re-installed windows 7 to deal with this issue but to no avail!

I did get it working once before I had viruses and had to download by grabbing a general driver I guess my laptop was missing this was over a year ago and I have no idea what it was called but I sure wish I could remember fml
