WIN7 USB Audio Driver failure

Both Win7 32 and 64 fail to integrate two USB audio devices:

1. ArtDio (Kinyo) N-B005B USB speakers

2.  3D Sound HY554 USB to 2.5mm audio dongle.

Both work fine under WIN XP.  Neither have drivers supplied by the mfrs.  Solutions? The ArtDios are a tough thing to toss. Work great.

Hi,

·         Who is the manufacturer of the audio dongle that you are using?

You may check in Device Manager if the audio dongle is getting detected. To open device manager follow the link given below.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Open-Device-Manager

Unless the sound card is installed correctly you will not be able to get the speaker to work. You may also contact the sound card manufacturer and check if there are any patches released for Windows 7.

Hope this information is helpful.

Hi Amrita,

Both devices are USB interface. The USB speakers show up in  DM, which claims they are working normally. I can configure them in Hardware and sound, but when tested fail to produce a tone, which I am informed  of by an error message. Yep,  no sound comes out...

The USB dongle eventually worked...So I know the WIN7  driver is working.  No idea why it started working.
