USB to SATA bridge - disk not recognized

I connected my old SATA Maxtor DiamondMax 10 200GB drive through USB 2.0 to SATA bridge as an external disk to my notebook. Windows7 recognize it in hardware manager but I they don't see it in the Windows Explorer and I can neither read data from the nor format it. Does anybody have a solution to this issue?

Answer
Answer

Go to Disk Management and assign a drive letter to the drive.

You may need to initialise and format it. If you do, you will lose any data on the drive.
