I use win 7 home edition on laptop samsung core i7 .This laptop has 4 usb port which 2 of them have stopped working and i receive this message:usb 3 host controller not found
First, whenever a computer is delivered with USB 3.0 port, the ports should have blue plastic in the middle of the port's connections. This seems to be a standard that was adopted for USB 3.0 ports.
If the ports have stopped working, you need to:
1) Consult the computer's user manual and check for any possible controls, in the BIOS or via keys / button, that can turn off the USB 3.0 functions / ports.
2) Locate the correct drivers for the USB 3.0 controller, off the manufacturer's support site download sections, and try to re-install these.
If the above two (2) suggestions do not help, you might need to contact the tech support department and you may need to get your laptop repaired.
