Sony Walkman Device is suddenly not recognized in Windows 7

Windows 7 has stopped recognizing my Sony NWZ-E438F Walkman Media Player since the last update. Did a system restore, and it didn't help. Restored the walkman to the factory settings, and that didn't help either.

The walkman works fine on another computer. I've tried all my usb ports - and the ports all work with other devices, but do not recognize that there's an external device plugged in, when I try the walkman. I am getting power from the usb link, though.

Hi,

Download and install the latest firmware for your player and check if it fixes the software.
