MS Bluetooth mouse 3600 on Windows 7

I had the same issue. Did not realise there is no Windows 7 driver for this bluetooth mouse 3600. Couldn't detect the mouse despite updating to the latest bluetooth driver from my laptop manufacturer. It detected as a bluetooth mouse and the connection was lost after shutting down the laptop and I had to remove the device and add a new bluetooth device everytime.

As my bluetooth module is part of my Intel wifi card, I deleted both the drivers for wifi and bluetooth. Downloaded the latest drivers from Intel and reinstalled driver. This time round, the bluetooth mouse was detected as a bluetooth low energy HID compliant mouse or something equivalent. Basically the mouse must be detected as a bluetooth 4 device. Thereafter I had no more issues connecting the mouse even after shutting down and restarting my laptop. Hope this helps.
