microtek scanmaker i320 driver

Know of a driver that will make this scanner useful?  Microtek's answer is buy a new one.  I scan maybe 2-3 pages a year...it is easier to keep a copy of XP available.  For Win 7 64 bit please

Hi klaus6622,

Have you attempted to install the printer software/drivers in compatibility mode?

http://support.microtek.com/product_dtl_2.phtml?prod_id=34

then

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

Hope this helps!

PROBLEM SOLVED [FOR ME]: I downloaded the software for the Microtek ArtixScanDI 1210 (win 7 64-bit), unzipped it, BUT DID NOT INSTALL IT, Instead I manually updated the driver only for my ancient X6U by manually pointing the driver updater to the unzipped D1 software. Scanwizard 5 ran without a hitch.
