D Gittins asked on

Hi all!

I'm getting frequent 0x9f blue screen errors. I wonder if someone might kindly have a look at this dmp file?

Much appreciated.

Hi,

The attached DMP file is of the DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE (9f) bugcheck.

This error occurs if drivers do not handle power state transition requests properly, usually during one of the following procedures: shut down, suspending or resuming from standby, suspending or resuming from hibernation.

In your dump, I am seeing 2 problematic possible drivers.

Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\GEARAspiWDM.sys, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for GEARAspiWDM.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for GEARAspiWDM.sys
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for nvstor64.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for nvstor64.sys
Probably caused by : nvstor64.sys

GEARAspiWDM.sys is also showing in the blocked IRP address~

GEARAspiWDM.sys = CD-ROM Class Filter Driver by Gear Software. Also comes with iTunes.

Update here - http://www.gearsoftware.com/support/drivers.php

nvstor64.sys = nVidia Storage Driver (nForce chipset driver).

Update here - http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

Keep me updated on the system behavior after doing the following.
