Manually create a logical drive/extended partition

So I would like to create an extened partition/logical drive manually but Win7 Disk Managment doesnt have the ability to let me do it...I have to make 3 primart then it auto does a extened partition/logical drive, hich I do not want, I want to make a extened partition/logical drive befor the other 3 partitions because I want to be able too resize the partitions I plan to make w/ ease.

Answer
Use the diskpart utility in an elevated command prompt window.  The commands will look something like this:

   C:\Users\yourname> diskpart

   DISKPART> select disk 0
   DISKPART> create partition extended
   DISKPART> create partition logical
  
For help on a command, type its name in the help command.  For example:

   DISKPART> help create partition
   DISKPART> help create partition logical
