LMS Service cannot connect to Intel(R) MEI driver

I recently purchased a Gateway NV5924u brand new notebook.  I keep getting LMS Service cannot connect to Intel(R) MEI driver ever since I booted up my new notebook.  I am not able to find any information online related to this event.  Is this normal?  If not how do I fix it?  This event warning has been appearing since day one of owning my notebook.  Thank you!
