LG CDMA USB Modem transfer photos from my LG phone to computer

Original title : LG CDMA USB Modem

 

I would like to transfer photos from my LG Cosmos phone to my personal computer.  I have the VCAST Media Manager cable attached to my phone and the USB port of the computer but the computer does not recognize the device.  I think I need to download software but I do not know which site to trust when I google it.  Does anyone have any suggestions?
