Install aspi driver on Win 7 / Virtual XP

I have a SCSI scanner that needs an aspi driver to work. The aspi driver is OK with Windows XP but - according to instructions - not with Windows 7. I have a Windows 7 Prof, 64b. Can I install the aspi driver in Win XP that I run in Windows Virtual PC? Or will I have to run it in another XP version that I boot separately?

3. In the PackageName Properties dialog box, click the Compatibility tab.

4. Click to select the Run this program in compatibility mode for check box, click Windows XP (Service Pack 2) in the Run this program in compatibility mode for list, and then 5. click OK.

6. Double-click the executable file to start the installation program.

If the driver is not available in setup file format then can manually update the drivers from device manager

2. In the Tasks pane, click Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password or click Continue.

3. In Device Manager, locate the device for which you want to install the driver.

Note To display hidden devices, click Show hidden devices on the View menu.

4. Right-click the device and then click Update Driver Software.

5. Click Browse my computer for driver software, click Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer, and then click Have Disk.

6. In the Install From Disk dialog box, click Browse, locate an .inf file for the device driver that you want to install, and then click Open.
