How to safely remove USB drive in Windows 7

I just upgraded from Vista x64 to Windows 7 Home Premium x64. All is well so far as I can tell, but I don't see any way to stop/safely remove a USB HDD. When I'm using a flashdrive, the context menu offers the option to "Eject," but that option does not appear for USB drives. What am I missing?

The "Safely remove hardware" icon is available for USB drives, too. It shows mine, anyway. You probably just have it hidden. Win7 doesn't show the icon by default any more.

In fact, Win7's "Safely remove" has a really nice feature missing from earlier MS operating systems - it actually tells you what device you're safely removing.
