Error - Windows found driver software for your device but encountered a problem while attempting to install it, unable to install Kodak EasyShare c182 camera drivers

Origianl Title: windows 7 driver for kodak easyshare c182 camera will not install.

I discovered that my Kodak EasyShare c182 driver will not install.

I contacted Kodak and they walked me through uninstalling and re-installing the device in device manager & they also had me uninstall & reinstall Kodak Easyshare v8.2.

I repeatedly receive:

Windows found driver software for your device but encountered a problem while attempting to install it

The install class was not present or invalid.

Any thoughts or help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Debleena,

I solved this one by going to the manufacturer's website for my barebones PC kit. I have a Shuttle XPC SG31G2. I recently upgraded from Win XP Pro SP3 to Win 7 Ultimate N.

The solution was to upgrade my chipset and BIOS drivers. They are located here:

While Iwas there, I also downloaded and installed new audio & video drivers.
