Ecosys Kyocera FS-2000D Win7 Driver Fails

 Hi there

I have an Ecosys Kyocera FS-2000D. The XP driver  worked fine for XP but the Win7 driver fails.  When I connect the printer MS looks for the driver and marks it FAILED after a few minutes.  I downloaded the alleged Win7 driver from Kyocera and manually installed but it doesn't work. 

 I have tested the cable and other win7 compatible printers with my Sony Vaio notebook. No problem

 Kyocera support in Australia refuses to acknowledge the issue and keeps saying it's my computer/OS issue.  It's not.  

Do you test the drivers yourselves? Or do you just add them to the Microsoft driver store without testing...  I suggest you test and remove from the MS store so as not to disappoint other users.  That way I can prove to Kyocera that it doesn't work and motivate them to create a driver that does!

Would be grateful for your advice.

Hi,

Contact Kyocera again and ask to speak to higher management as it is their
issue to resolve. As OEM Kyocera is responsible for the proper operation of
both their hardware and their supplied drivers.
