Display adaptor Missing from Device Manager multiple blue screen crashes

Hi All

I have strange problem my graphic card went missing and its not detected by windows 7 64Bit Home Premium whole display adaptors tree is missing from device manager. Strangely system was still working crashing with blue screens often after windows loaded. I thought it could be graphic card problem so I replaced it with new graphic card but problem persists. Reinstaling graphic card drivers is not helping beecause system is not finding compatible devices.

I even updated bios as well.

My System is Intel Core Duo e7400

Windows 7 64bit Home premium 5gig ram

PALIT GTX 460 SONIC 1024MB GDDR5

Mother board GA-EP45-DS3L

Hello adaware08,

1.      What is the make and manufacturer of your graphics card?

I suggest that you try to update the drivers for the Graphics card using Windows update. You can check out the below article that will give you information on how to update drivers:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isnt-working-properly

You can try to check in Dxdiag whether the graphic card is getting detected or not. To do so, please follow the steps below:

Open DirectX Diagnostic Tool by clicking the Start button, typing dxdiag in the search box, and then pressing Enter.

For more information, please refer the link mentioned below:
