Disable aero in windows 7

I have a intel 915gv chipset which will not run aero.  If I want to run windows 7 can I just disable it with no graphics problems??

Disabling Aero in Windows 7 is very simple:

Right click the Desktop
Click Personalize
Under 'Basic and High Contrast Themes, click 'Windows 7 Basic'

If the graphics card cannot handle aero, than aero will be disabled. To manually disable aero see here. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/disable-aero-on-windows-vista/
