Comfort Curve 3000 keyboard and Intellitype

I have just bought a Microsoft Comfort Keyboard 3000 and was assuming that it would work with Microsoft's Intellitype software. However Intellitype 8.2 does not find a Microsoft USB keyboard (the CC3000 is a Microsoft USB keyboard).

The Comfort Curve 3000 displays as a Comfort Curve 3000 in Devices and Printers (my old keyboard did not), however, under device manager it's simply shown as a HID keyboard device (with an old 2006 driver). Doing a driver search finds no other drivers, nor does Windows Update.

Interestingly, the Comfort Curve 3000 download page on Microsoft Hardware does not list Intellitype (the Comfort Curve 2000 does). Can I get my Comfort Curve 3000 to work with Intellitype?

I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

Hi,

Since Microsoft Comfort Curve 3000 keyboard does not require Intellitype software for it to work, the software will not recognize the keyboard.
