cd rom shuts down windows

I have a new system with windows 7.  I've been recording my music to CD's for playing in car radio.  Now the computer just shuts down when I install a cd-r disk.

I never see the bsod,  so cant give you error code.  I have not added anything new in 3 months,  and no other problems so far.  Self built 3 months old.

win 7 home premium  service pack 1   64 bit system     3.6 gig processor

8 gig memory

Please provide the following information to help us figure out the problem:

    - Please zip up the contents of the C:\Windows\Minidump directory

    - Upload it to the Public area of a SkyDrive account ( https://skydrive.live.com )

    - Post a link here so we can download it.

and

    - Go to Start (or press the “Win” and “R” keys at the same time), type in "msinfo32" and press Enter

    - When the utility opens, save a copy of it as an .nfo file, and another copy as a .txt file

    - Zip them up and upload them to the Public area of a SkyDrive account ( https://skydrive.live.com )

    - Post a link here so we can download it.

Use SkyDrive to upload the collected files:

Please check in C:\Windows for a file named MEMORY.dmp
Let us know if you find it, and what is the date that it was created on?

The MSINFO32 file shows a couple of things to try first.
Please uninstall the Gigabyte ET6 (EasyTune) utility.  It's known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems

Then please uninstall the Gigabyte Easy Saver utility also - as it's been known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems.

I've seen no further problem with other Gigabyte utilities - but keep an eye on them "just in case"

Check in C:\Windows for a file named MEMORY.dmp
Is it there?  If so, zip it up and upload it to a free filehosting service (it's probably too big for SkyDrive).  Then post a link to it here so we can have a look at it.

If there's no MEMORY.dmp file, then we have to wonder why.
If it doesn't occur until you insert recordable media, then try posting a copy of your Event Viewer logfiles.  If you don't know how to do that, please follow the directions in this post:  http://www.sysnative.com/forums/showthread.php/68-Blue-Screen-of-Death-(BSOD)-Posting-Instructions-Windows-7-amp-Vista
Then upload the information to your SkyDrive account for us to have a look at.

This is possibly a hardware problem - so if Windows doesn't recognize the memory dumps we have to wonder if it's the CD/DVD drive that's causing it.
