BSOD while shutting down...?

Yesterday, I was shutting down my pc, when suddenly a Blue Screen Of Death appears after the "Shutting Down" screen... whel... if I was shutting down, I see no problem... except that the BSOD makes the computer restart... and everytime I try to shutdown, there starts the loop! I was only able of shutting down the pc on the I/O button on the "tower" itself... Whats happening???

I already tried running CCleaner on the registry, tried to just put the computer at "Sleep" mode and ran an anti-virus scan... And didn't found anything related to that... Now I'm trying to Defrag the disk...

So... can anyone say what's happening?

Hi JPB18,

Thanks for using the Answers Forum.

It sounds like a driver is causing the computer to blue screen at shut down.

I suggest updating your video card, network card, and printer drivers by visiting the manufacturers website to isolate the devices that usually cause the BS.

You can also run the Windows Memory Diagnostic to check your RAM.
You can do that by clicking Start and typing "memory diagnostic" in the search field.
Click on the entry that appears toward the top.
