Hi Shirleo,

Welcome to Microsoft answers.

This device is compatible with windows 7 Operating system, this issue might be because of the corruption of the drivers, and you may refer the below link:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Details.aspx?type=Hardware&p=Epson%20Stylus%20CX6600%20All-in-One%20Printer&v=Epson&uid=C11C578001&pf=0&pi=0&s=Epson%20Stylus%20CX6600&os=32-bit

I suggest that you uninstall all the software related Epson from Programs and Features.

I suggest that you disconnect the device from the computer, download the drivers from the manufacturer’s website and install it.

Refer the link to install the drivers from the manufacturer’s website and check if that works:

Epson Stylus CX6600 All-in-One Printer: http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?oid=41664&infoType=Downloads

If the issue still persists, then I suggest that you may contact the device manufacturer if they have got any latest patches for this device to work on Windows 7.
