Windows Keeps Over Riding my graphics card drivers... WHY...

ive used my computer every day no issues then bam,, one day on log in get a black screen,,

ive narrowed it down to the drivers and found that windows keeps installin bad drivers for my graphics card. even after ive installed the latest drivers..(258.96)

(Geforce GTX 260 is my graphics card running windows Home premium 32 bit)

ok its been fixed.. been talkin to evga and they think its a defective gpu

Hi Toyking23,

You may try changing the Windows Updates setting to “Download updates but let me choose whether to install them” and check if the drivers get installed automatically after uninstalling graphics card driver and restarting the computer.

Change how Windows installs or notifies you about updates

Also, you may try older version of driver from Nvidia driver download website and check if it works, so that we can make sure that its not the new drivers that is causing this issue.
