Q: Replacing my Hard Drive? This thread is locked from future replies

Hi,

I installed Windows 7 Ultimate full retail version a few months ago from Vista and haven't had any issues with it and am glad I purchased 7.  However recently I'm starting to think my hard drive might be on its way out, its very noisy and I've had a couple of lock ups.

Ideally I'd like to buy a new (better) hard drive and start again with a fresh install but I dont know if im aloud to do that.  Will it allow me to install windows 7 on another hard drive when all the other parts are the same?

Sorry for the basic question but obviously I want to make sure whats what before going ahead, or before my hard drive dies lol.

Thanks alot.

Answer

A:

Yes, you can re-install it onto a new hard drive..

Windows 10 Pro - Start10 - part of a local network which is a '3rd party optimizer-free' zone..

Did this solve your problem?

Sorry this didn't help.
