Question

Q: DEFINE "KEYBOARD SIZE"

on MS's laptop comparison page for windows 7 compatible laptops, the term KEYBOARD SIZE is used.  no matter what size of the laptop, the answer for my selection of laptops is always "100%".  100% of what?  I have big fingers and now suffer when typing on my ACER ASPIRE ONE PRO.  THANK YOU!

Answer

A:

The standard Keyboard size is about 12 in.--from the Ctrl on the bottom left, diagonally to the F12 at the top. If a laptop keyboard is this size(not including keypad, arrow keys), then it is a full size keyboard. A general rule of thumb is: if the screen is smaller than 12 in., the keyboard is too.
I hope this helps.

Did this solve your problem?

Sorry this didn't help.
