Question

Q: Dual monitors problem in Windows 7 This thread is locked from future replies

I have a Dell Laptop.  I plugged in an Acer AL2223W monitor by VGA cord.  I went to Screen Resolution to setup dual-screens, and the Acer monitor is identified, but it is the only monitor I see.  It does not show 2 screens.  The Acer monitor is indicating that it has no signal.  When I click "Detect Monitor" nothing happens.  It is as if I have only the Acer monitor on the system, even though the Acer screen is not working??? Please help if you have any information.  Shouldn't the laptop screen also be showing in the Screen Resolution setup?

Answer

A:

Could be something wrong with the monitor...... can you try another external? Do not assume it
can't be the drivers.
