USB Flash drive device not working in Windows 7

I have about 3-4 flash drives. 2 from Kingston and 2 from Transcend.
I'm having trouble using the 4 GBTranscend flash drive and 32 GB Kingston flash drive.

Scenario 1> The Transcend pendrive: The device is not recognised after I plug it in and when I go to open it from Start>Computer  it gives me error message

"Please insert a disk into the removable disk."

Troubleshooting done: 1>Change the drive letter from Disk management wizard(Start> Right click on computer>Manage).

2>Checked for USBstor value(3).

3>Checked on numerous computers(XP, Vista, Windwos 7)

4>Deleting USB root hubs and controllers and allowing Windows to re-install them.

5>Updated BIOS.

Scenario 2> With the 32GB Kingston flash drive.
Unlike the transcend pendrive, this seems to behave very strangely.
The problem arised after I tried to format the drive.

Though data can be copied, it cannot be viewed.(be it any files Music, Video, documents)

Troubleshooting done: Same as the previous one...

Any help is appreciated

Thaank you.

Hello Thunder Boy,

You are welcome. The Flash drives not working on multiple computers only indicate that there could be a hardware issue.

I remember having this same issue on one of my flash drive. The flash drive turned out to be defective.
