"Windows cannot connect to the printer. The printer processor does not exist".

I am trying to connect to a printer on my home network.  LaserJet 1020. Which lives on another windows 7 computer.  It works fine on its "home" Win 7 Windows cannot connect to the printer. but when I try to network I get this message.  " Cannot connect to the printer. The printer processor does not exist".  I downloaded a new driver from HP with no success.  Any suggestions.  Thanks in advance.

Which print processor is it using?  Printer Properties, Advanced Print processor.   See if changing to Winprint wil allow the printer connection. Write down the current one so you can change back if the device requires it.
