LAN driver for Acer Extensa 5620z

Hello! After upgaring my Acer Extensa 5620z computer system from windows xp to Windows 7 my device manager is not showing up on network adapters my LAN driver from Broadcom. In network and sharing center it is the same - there isn't anymore ethernet connection adapter available. It shows up only my Broadcom 802.11g wirelles adapter but nothing more. Now I can't use internet through network cable if I plug it in to my computer ethernet slot. On Acer.com homepage I wasn't able to find LAN driver for windows 7 OS. Can someone please help me?

You've left it an awfull long time since your origonal post?

Check your documentation as to whether using the wireless connection auto disables the lan connection, also check whether there are any relevent Bios settings re Lan (ie enable/disable)

Well actually this doesn't still help me. When I connect ethernet cable, it is not even recognizing any new connections, I installed Vista driver, but there were no changes. Is there a hardware error??

Hi Martins23,

There are two places you should be able to find the LAN drivers you need for Windows 7.  The Acer website directly:

http://support.acer.com/drivers_download.aspx

Or from Broadcom's website:

http://www.broadcom.com/products/Wireless-LAN/802.11-Wireless-LAN-Solutions

Hope this helps!

I tried that chipset driver but nothing happened. I took my Acer driver disk - there was LAN drivers for XP and Vista- installation was succesfull, but my LAN adapter is still not showing up in Network and sharing center. Also my device manager is showing only my wireless network adapter and nothing more.
