viva pinata pc game install

I have a purchased version on Viva Pinata for Windows on a DVD.

My new laptop has no dvd drive....

Is there a way to download it digitally with my product key? Or can I install it with an external drive and play without the dvd?

I tried to activate the product on Steam, but to no avail.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
