If this is a CD then check for the scratches or damages on it. Clean or wipe the CD with a clean cloth and attempt installing. See if you can
download the game to install it.
Step 2: Check to see if you can install the game in a
clean boot state.
a)Click Start,
type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER to start the System Configuration Utility.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click Continue.
b)On
the General tab, click Selective Startup, and then click to clear the Load startup items check box. (The Use Original Boot.ini check box is unavailable.)
c)On
the Services tab, click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.
d)Click
OK, and then click Restart. Install the game to check if it goes fine.
