I'm trying to install Age of Empires III: The War Chiefs. The original game is installed but I keep getting a message saying that AOE III was not installed for Allusers or current user. Please long in with correct account. This setup will exit. I'm logged
in to the only account on my computer, why won't this install. I've tried shutting down A/V & firewall, but that doesn't help. Any/all suggestions welcome!
I found the answer. It was a case of the wrong OS. I'm running Windows 7, so here is the directions for Windows 7
For Windows Vista users:
1. Right-Click the Start button and select "Explore"
2. Navigate to "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\"
3. Create a directory called "Microsoft Games", if not already present
4. In that directory, create another directory called "Age of Empires III"
5. Re-Run the War Chiefs install program.
I did the above and the game installed easily.
