How can I get Windows 7 to read older .wri files?

I have several older data drives that contain important documents, but they are in .wri format.  I checked the file associations in Windows 7 so that I could associate the file type to a program, but .wri is not listed on the file extension list.
Is there a way to open these files in Windows 7?  Is there an inexpensive (shareware?) program to download to be able to view these files?  Most of the '.wri' searches I've done take me to advertisements for 'scanning' products.. not file readers.
Thanks for any help anyone can give.
