Cannot rename folders in Windows 7 "Could not find this item"

Since the latest batch of updates to Windows 7 (KB915597, KB3179573, KB3115475, KB3177723, and KB915597), I suddenly find myself completely unable to rename folders, even newly created ones. When I attempt to, I'm greeted with an error message stating:

"Could not find this item

This is no longer located in [location of folder]. Verify the item's location and try again."

I can clearly see that the folder has not moved, and hitting the button labeled "Try again" only makes the error message vanish for a fraction of a second before returning anew.

I'm 99.99969999503% sure that one of the recent updates is responsible and that uninstalling said update should fix the problem, but I don't know enough about any of them (or how exactly its causing the problem) to determine which. Does anyone know which one it is?
