Windows 7 error: Item Not Found

Item Not Found
Could not find this item
This is no longer located in C:\Users\...\Desktop. Verify the item's location and try again.

The file is called "Visual " - no extension, and a space at the end of the word.

The only thing I can think of is that Windows is trying to locate an item called "Visual" when the real file name is "Visual ". Could the space be causing the Item Not Found error, when I try to delete or rename the file?  If so, how can I fix this?

Click the file, then press F5 on the keyboard to see if the file is truly there.  If so, perhaps you can try acting on the file from a command prompt.
