Windows 7 start-menu vanishes when clicked on, icons on task bar flickers, then with task manager running sometimes start menu is working.

Computer is Toshiba L750, Windows 7 64. When starting up, long Beep is heard (changed RAM) no difference. After long beep and startup completely finishes, when clicking in start menu, menu attemps to start, then menu vanishes. Taskbar icons flicker. If i start the Task-bar Manager sometimes i can get start menu up. Re-installed Windows 7 from computer drive backup-no difference. Have tried SFC scan, Ran virus scans Trend, MSE, Eset, Nortons etc no better. .Acts like a virus. Anyone

Since you have tried all the possible troubleshooting steps, I would suggest you to follow the methods provided.

 

Method 1: Start your computer in safe mode

Note: After performing the troubleshooting steps in clean boot, follow Steps from the link to start the computer to Normal start up mode.

 

 

I would recommend you to update the chipset drivers from the manufacturer website.
