Win11 Update 22H2 Error 0x8007001f

Been trying to install the 22H2 update for Win11, but was unable to succeed. Windows Update gave me 0x8007001f error.

I tried dism, sfc and windows update troubleshooter and nothing seems to work out. The main problem comes at when i restart my notebook, and windows is trying to update and when it reaches 77% it just get stuck for sometime and then it just reboot and goes into windows right after that.

i also did a removal on the softwaredistribution folder under windows. Still not working.

There are some duplicate profiles whose SIDs need to be deleted.

Please follow the method in this articleBut the SIDs in that article were provided as examples.

In your case, these two SIDs need to be removed from your computer:

  • S-1-5-21-367378046-4294430745-3107674333-1001

  • S-1-5-21-367378046-4294430745-3107674333-1002

Important: Always export the "ProfileList" branch before deleting the subkeys. Also, ensure that the output of the "whoami /user" command does not mention one of the above SIDs.

Rerun setup, and post fresh Logs.zip if required.
