Windows Store won't update itself or other apps after the 1703 update

Minutes after my computer finished the 1703 update, Windows Store stopped successfully downloading and installing apps, including Windows Store itself.  All attempted updates get this error message:

"error:  see details

Something unexpected happened.

Reporting this problem will help us understand it better.  You can wait a bit and try again or restart your device.  That may help.

Code: 0x80246019"

I can't report the error to the feedback hub because there is an error when accessing the feedback hub as well.  I did restart the computer as suggested and it did not help at all.

it seems to be a widespread issue, because the windows update feature on both computers and smartphones, offer an insider build even though the devices ARE NOT in the insider program. also in both platforms the Store fails to update apps.

it's been reported many times as i see in the feedback apps, and im sure they will fix it.

Well, for what it's worth, I wasn't "offered" anything.  Today when I clicked "check for updates" it just started the process of updating to 1703 on its own.  As for the feedback app, I can't see anything in it because when I click the feedback hub app all I get is the "something went wrong" screen and the accompanying "try again" button.

The odd thing is, I can download other apps I didn't previously have (I tested it with the TBS app) but the Microsoft apps stay in queue unable to update.

I just figured this was the regular roll out of the Creators Update.  If this is just an insider build that I didn't want anyway, will everything work okay if I rollback to my previous version?

just wait and MS will fix the problems. i guess the server might have gone berserk and started offering stuff that wasn't supposed to offer, plus that it stopped updating apps (eg. i can't update skype on my phone.)

for now i suggest to go to advanced options and pause the updates for as long as possible. wait a few weeks and enable them again, im sure MS will have fixed the issues

I've already caught multiple articles saying it's not recommended for anyone to download these builds.  Some are even experiencing boot loops.  If I can confirm it's safe to roll back that's what I'm doing.

if you never enabled the insider program, then you have nothing to worry about. it's a small server issue that will be fixed soon. also there is no need to roll back from your current state, as the new update that will be releasedwill correct any possible erros you might have.

just leave it as is.
