Windows Store Problems

Hello Everyone,

My Windows 10 store started to download some apps updates. When the download completed the installation process won't complete and it shows me the error code "0x87AF000B". I tried resetting the store by using the run command "WSreset". I tried logging out then in to the store but nothing worked. The store troubleshooting tool doesn't find any errors and neither does the windows update troubleshooting tool. I also can't install any new apps since the problem started. What should I do ?

Thanks.

I have recently had a reinstall of windows 10, it crashed after an update was installed and dell spent 7 hours rebuilding it for me.

I am now trying to get my apps back onto the computer and am getting the above error message.  I have tried every option on this community to no avail, this includes running troubleshooters and uninstall/reinstall

This error has been around for ages it seems, surely there is a fix that works for all?

I am using Windows 10 and have the same problem with getting updates from the store.

It downloads them and then tries to install and gets the 0x87AF000B error.

I have

* deleted the store cache

* run the troubleshooter until it says the problems are solved

Still not working.

I can't run simple apps like calculator and Windows Mail.

Please help!

Thanks for replying.

I tried method one, but it didn't work. I pasted the first command (dism), but it gave me the image version and then didn't proceed. I left it for over an hour.

When I ran it again, I got the following response....

"

C:\WINDOWS\system32>Dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
Version: 10.0.14393.0

Image Version: 10.0.14393.0

Error: 1726

The remote procedure call failed.

The DISM log file can be found at C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log

"

I saved the logfile here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ar_hc-WitLcwkzZD5mK9GhERuk3k

I also tried method 2, but it couldn't download any updates. It tried and then said "We couldn't connect to the update service. We'll try again later, or you can check now. If it still doesn't work, make sure you're connected to the Internet."

Obviously I am connected to the internet.

Please help!!

thanks

managed to get the DSIM and the SFC to work. It completed successfully and I've since run with the scanhealth option and it says there are no errors.

However, the store and Check for Updates still does not work!

Please help.
