Windows Store not working after a rollback in Windows 10

I had installed Windows 10 build 10525. I then did a rollback and can not access the Windows Store.

The icon is also missing in the left side of the tray. There is a space for itd but the icon is missing.

If I hover the mouse on the empty spot the word "Store" appears.  Clicking on it just gives me a blue square that quickly disappears.

The exact same thing happened to me.

Hi,

Thank you for being a part of Windows 10.

The issue could be due to the app store corrupted.

Method 1:  I would suggest you to run App troubleshooter.

a. Type ‘Troubleshooting’ in the search next to start.
b. Click on ‘View All’ on left side and select Windows store Apps’.
c. Follow the onscreen instructions.

Method 2: Disable the proxy server and check.
a. Open Internet Explorer
b. Click Tools and then click Internet Options.
c. Then click the Connections tab.
d. Then click the LAN Settings  button.
e. Then Uncheck the option which reads” Use a proxy server for your LAN”
f. Click apply and then ok.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other issues with Windows in future.

Hi, Vijay. Thanks for responding. Build 10525 is the Fast Ring Insider release for Windows 10, not Windows 10 Mobile.

Since nothing else seemed to work, including 5 hrs. on the phone with Microsoft, I finally used the USB I had created using the Media Creation Tool (http://http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install?ocid=ms_wol_win10) I started the Install within the broken Windows 10 and opted to save my current Apps, programs and settings. I also opted for it to download any updates.

It took about as long as the original upgrade. I now have a perfectly working Windows 10 Pro.
