How to install Microsoft Store?

Hello! Recently, my Microsoft Store was a little buggy, so I decided to follow this guide:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-windows_store/windows-store-my-library-does-not-show-any-of-my/adba8e1e-be61-4a75-8469-8d427e46be55

I followed A. User's comment and followed it without troubles to the point where I had to install a fresh copy of of the Windows 10 app store. I tried to follow all 4 methods, but "Microsoft Store" was not on the list in the App & Features settings tab, for Method 2, "Microsoft Store" was not in the administrator PowerShell "Get-Appxpackage –Allusers", Method 3 did not work, and Method was not really an option for me.

The website is https://www.intowindows.com/how-to-reinstall-store-and-other-preinstalled-apps-in-windows-10/, linked in the comment for the question above.

What do I do? I need to use the Microsoft Store, but I could not seem to be able to re-install it. Nvidia GeForce Experience says that I need to install Nvidia Control Panel via the Microsoft Store, but I don't have the store. All the apps and that I installed via the store seem to be missing.

Help me please.

Update: Fixed by resetting Windows entirely.

Click and Run Windows PowerShell as Administrator
At the command prompt, copy-paste the following then hit Enter:

Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

For some reason,
"Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}"
Does not work for me. It seems to do nothing after I press enter. It just opens a new line in the Administrator PowerShell and appears to do nothing. Am I doing anything wrong? Microsoft Store does not seem to appear anywhere...

Hello again JohnDeV

There was no loading screen of any sort when I entered that command.

I tried creating a new Administrator account. The Microsoft Store was not present.

I also tried re-installing Windows 10 with the keep apps & data setting checked a couple of hours ago.

I have no idea what to do.

Sincerely,

MadOfficer392

Hello MadOfficer392,

Thank you for updating me that information. Try to perform the command above on the new administrator account. To check if its installed, Please go to apps and features and search for Microsoft Store. What methods did you perform earlier to reinstall Windows?

If it doesn't work try to Perform a System Restore on an earlier date which the store was still working properly.
Open Start.
Search for Create a restore point, and click the top result to open the System Properties experience.
Click the System Restore button.
Click the Next button.
Select the restore point that you want to use on your computer.
Click Next then Finish.

I got an error from command prompt:

C:\WINDOWS\system32>PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command "& {$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage *WindowsStore*).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest}"

Add-AppxPackage : Cannot find path 'C:\AppxManifest.xml' because it does not exist.

The PowerShell one did have the scrolling blue and red text, but my Microsoft Store, and apparently all my default apps, are still missing from all users.

Hello MadOfficer392,

Thank you for updating me that information and I'm sorry it still didn't resolve the issue.

I will recommend is to Perform an In-place upgrade of Windows 10
It will definitely help in resolving update errors. Performing this can repair broken operating system files while preserving your personal files, settings and installed applications. The in-place upgrade will also bring you the latest Windows update.

**Few things to check on the PC

Ensure you are signed in or have administrator rights to do a repair install

Unplug all external peripherals except for the Mouse, Keyboard, and LAN cable before starting

Disable or uninstall any 3rd party Anti-Virus program to prevent it from interfering with the upgrade
