How to install Microsoft store app through powershell

Want to know how to install Microsoft store app directly through powershell.

I'm John an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I want to apologize if you encountered this issue. I understand you want to install Microsoft Store through powershell

Reinstall the Store:
Press Windows key + X
Click and Run Windows PowerShell as Administrator
At the command prompt, copy-paste the following then hit Enter:

Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Launch again your MS Store

I regret to inform you but, unfortunately, it is not possible to use PowerShell to install apps from Microsoft store as of this moment,

The Add-AppxPackage cmdlet adds a signed app package to a user account. An app package has an .msix or .appx file name extension. Use the DependencyPath parameter to add all other packages that are required for the installation of the app package. You can use the Register parameter to install from a folder of unpackaged files during the development of Windows:registered: Store apps.

In the meantime, please use the Feedback hub under your start menu and drop some comments and suggestions. Microsoft has always a room for improvement for the best experience of its user.

Hi!

I can't find and launch my Microsoft Store. I tried the PowerShell solution but it didn't work. 
It says, "You'll need a new app to open this ms-window store link" What does it mean? What should I do?

It doesn't work on all versions of the App Store:

Add-AppxPackage : Deployment failed with HRESULT: 0x80073D06, The package could not be installed because a higher       version of this package is already installed.                                                                           Windows cannot install package Microsoft.WindowsStore_12006.1001.1.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe because it has version          12006.1001.1.0. A higher version 12007.1001.2.0 of this package is already installed.                                   NOTE: For additional information, look for [ActivityId] fad44870-7035-0006-c164-d4fa3570d601 in the Event Log or use    the command line Get-AppPackageLog -ActivityID fad44870-7035-0006-c164-d4fa3570d601

You can install lots of store apps from admin powershell via chocolatey. e.g.

choco install wsl-ubuntu-2004

Hi,

I cannot find or launch my Microsoft app and i would like to switch out of S mode. Every time i try it says "You'll need a new app to open this ms-window store link" What does it mean?  What can i do to fix the problem or at least switch out of s mode without the app cause thats all i really want to do? The powershell option is not working for me at all.
