Can't install Asphalt 8. Error Code: 0x803F8001

I have Asphalt 8 installed on my Windows 10 some time ago. Everything was fine until this afternoon when I can't run the game. I got a message saying that "Asphalt 8 is currently not available in your account". I tried uninstalling the game but now when I reinstall it, an notification appears saying "Something unexpected happened", the error code is 0x803F8001.

Anyone has a solution to this problem?

I have the same problem too buddy! I tried to launch the app and I got a message saying that the application was not on my account. Then I tried to uninstall it and it gave me this message: "Something unexpected happened", the error code is 0x803F8001." I hope we both get a solution

Same problem as mine, i don't know what is the real problem. It says the the game is not available on my account also tried installing other apps which works fine but the problem only exist on Asphalt 8 when i tried to install it.

Try This workaround for fix this problem:

- Uninstall the game
- Create a new local window account and give the administrator power
- Install A8 in this new account
- Start the game and enter at the main menu
- Close the game
- Switch to the original Windows account
- Install A8 (it will be fast because it was already installed in the new account)
- Delete the new account and make your original account Administrator again
- Enjoy the cloud save progress again

This did not work for me, and I am having the error pop up on more than one computer right now. Looks like Microsoft messed up again... not surprised. Wish there was a fix for this.

1. Create new outlook account

2. sign off current account from store

3. sign in with new account in store

4. install asphalt 8

5. sign in with original account
