windows 10 is terrible

Just because you don't care for the o/s doesn't mean the rest of don't as well.

I like it just fine. My actual favorite o/s was Windows 2000!

If you have a specific issue why not let us know what it is and maybe someone can assist.

As an example 

if ford or gm or Toyota put out a product that you had 

to tweak after you purchased it they would have a re call 

yet in the computer world we some how accept sub par products .

why is this ??

if I buy a new house and the roof leaks I call the contractor and he comes

and fixes this flaw in his work.

Microsoft though , puts out a product that wont even let me download a software program

from someone who makes a software for windows 10 and I get the 

this ap wont run on this pc ???? 

why should I now have to spend countless hours trying to fix this ??

This is a new computer , 64 bit, downloading a 64 bit software 

it is not the software that is the issue it is windows 10 !

The entire process is flawed and I do understand you need to protect yourselves 

from software piracy as well as the well knows ability to be hacked 

yet come on !!!! 

The inability to load a software out of the box using windows 10 out of the box 

is laughably bad .

to add to this the windows store wont even open .

obviously I am online or I wouldn't be typing now would I ??

windows store ( the icon on this computer ) when clicked tells me I am not online 

Useless app from my point of view 

and the app I want to install wont because I'm being told " this ap wont run on this pc"

many years ago I deleted windows 2.0 and went to dos shell because it worked

vs 2.0 that did not .

Seriously, this operating system needs many improvements .

Windows 10 works fine for me. No problems.

I invested the time to learn how to use it, and apparently my efforts have paid off.

So security by obscurity and making things harder than they need to be is MS's new way? I wonder why so many people are complaining. Go back to the way it was before MS, no one likes to be forced to do things or jump through hoops on hardware they bought. When MS owns the PC then they can do what they want. Until then, give us options, and stop making everything on Win 10 so hard to do! And if you say you have no problems, just wait you will.

I've been waiting since Windows 98 SE (my first ever clean install) and still no problems. How long am I supposed to wait?

When I say 'no problems' I don't mean everything has been perfect - nobody's computer is like that. 'No problems' means nothing serious and nothing I couldn't solve on my own with a little work. And the truth is most of my problems have been problems I caused by myself.

I know it's more satisfying to blame everything that goes wrong on Microsoft.

I think everyone had lowered expectations for Windows 10. Just make sure its not a Windows 8 disaster and it will be considered a success. It was certainly a last minute rush to market sort of Windows release as we have seen a fix on the fly sort of release
pattern. Call it Windows as a service if you want Microsoft. I call it a forced work in progress because it wasn't ready but needed to fix the disaster of Windows 8. Really now Windows 10 is perfectly OK and Fall Creator is probably where Windows 10 should
have started at. Its taken two plus years to get to the point of being a good OS. However, its still not what many find acceptable and a work in progress typically disappoints as things don't progress as any hoped. The reason it succeeds at all is Windows
8 and that most all PC's run Windows. If PC users had more viable options I have to wonder how successful Windows 10 would be right now? I still use it, and tolerate it for the most part. But half my PC's are now running a Linux desktop now and not Windows
of any version. I have found with these major (now six month) upgrades for Windows 10 that to get the best result with the upgrade you must do a clean install and re install every application you use. It's a real pain to do this, but my results have been much
better doing this then accepting the upgrade and fixing all that doesn't work with that in place upgrade. Its easy to use Media Creation Tool and perform a clean install and you can use it on multiple PC's. Unfortunately many fear doing backups, having to
reinstall apps, and having to spend that much effort with a upgrade. I completely agree, but for some users you end up with this option anyway so why not do it up front. Also a note is make sure your PC maker has tested your PC model for Fall Creator, some
PC makers have come out with approved list of models and frankly if your model isn't on there. Be sure you find out why before doing upgrade. 

I've installed the Fall creator's Update on a 4 year old Lenovo Thinkpad and everything works perfectly well....

If you are having so many issues with your systems then you need to ask yourself what your particular hardware/software setup is causing the issues as your experience is the exception, not the rule.

Using hardware that was last support with Windows Vista?

Using utility programs that alter how Windows functions?

Editing the registry willy nilly or using so called registry cleaners?

Using a 3rd party anti-virus product and not the one that comes with Windows 10?

Etc.
